Walmart beauty box is a quarterly subscription box that is technically free because you essentially pay just $5 for shipping. For each season(Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter) of the year, Walmart puts together an assortment of beauty product samples that fits your profile that you fill out when you sign up. Walmart Beauty Box essentially sends out a beauty box every three months when you sign up, according to the website — January for Winter, March for Spring, July for Summer, and October for Fall.
I signed up in January expecting the winter box, but to my disappointment, they sent me a fall box. It was just $5 for shipping and handling, so it’s nothing to be dissuaded over. Today I will be reacting to the products, not so much using and reviewing them since, according to their website, the products may vary. Perhaps it was my profile, I went with the natural look. I suppose I’ll be re-evaluating my profile to trendy because the products are nothing I personally would have been interested in purchasing. As well, the giveaway for the $100 gift card was no longer running…
According to their seasons, I should have another one arriving next month, which should be spring. Which means I completely missed out on the Winter box, bummer. I did receive this last month and am only now getting a chance to review and react to the contents
Collagen is the most plentiful protein, it is responsible for several biological functions, one of which is to provide structural support in connective tissue, muscle, and skin as well as plays a role in joint and bone health. Collagen is the protein responsible for skin elasticity and bone strength. Taking collagen will improve your overall health and make you feel and look younger. It’s known to restore moisture to dry skin, taking notes for myself on this matter. I’ve only been taking biotin alone.
The Collagen Peptides was unflavored, but I tasted vanilla. It has eighteen grams of protein, eighteen amino acids, two types of collagen, twenty grams of collagen peptides and biotin. This type of collagen happens to be gluten-free, dairy-free, contains zero-sugars, non-gmo, keto and paleo certified. I feel like this could be a meal replacement, I drank it and decided I was not hungry for lunch. I felt full until dinner time. It made me feel like I had more energy. After in-depth research on collagen, I’ve come to realize, I may not be consuming enough in my diet eating meats and fish alone. I’ll be looking into collagen.
BIC Soleil claims to glide effortlessly across skin, leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth. Three flexible blades and an innovative Comfort Shield head, this convenient disposable razor adjusts to your curves and evenly distributes pressure to help protect your skin from nicks and cuts. The comfortable rubber grip handle and pivoting head let you achieve added control, while the lubricating strip enriched with Vitamin E and Aloe enhances glide.
Let’s talk about body hair a second…I like using razors to shave my legs because the hair is fine and waxing them is painful. I prefer waxing my underarms and bikini just because of the nature of shaving in those sensitive areas gives me razor burn and ingrown hairs. I already have a favorite brand of razors I prefer to use when shaving my legs. So I’ll save this for a guest or a giveaway.
This deodorant doesn’t leave white marks on your dark clothes or white stains on your light clothes and lasts 48 hours. I prefer the solid version and refuse to use the sprays because they wind up powdery and stay in the creases of the underarm and more importantly, the bottles aren’t recyclable. It smells stronger than the Invisible Solid, and if you have been reading my blog before this article, you’ll know that I am sensitive to smells. I’ll stick to the invisible solid, I will save this for a guest or a giveaway.
The shampoo is 87% Natural and the conditioner is 90% natural, both made with real botanicals and naturally sourced ingredients. The shampoo and conditioner are sulfate-free, paraben-free, gluten-free and free of colorants. The shampoo and conditioner is a multi-layered scent of ocean mist, dewy flowers, and warm amber, that sounds like it would smell amazing. I am excited to try the shampoo because I have not had a chance to try this one, but I just washed my hair yesterday so I will have to come back and update when I have results after use.
Wow, this stuff smells amazing, I loved the smell of the multi-layer, I can’t get over it, Probably the best smelling shampoo I have ever tried. But it left my hair feeling oily like I still had product at my roots, I tend to have oily roots just 2 days after I wash, so either this didn’t wash my oil away from my roots or just kind of sat in the roots. The rest of my hair feels good. I would suggest this for dry, chemically treated hair, but for normal to oily hair, it’s probably not the best shampoo and conditioner for you.
Jergens came out with a mood-transforming line that has been infused with essential oils. Jergens uses a triple butter formula, made with an ultra-hydrating blend of shea, cocoa, and mango butters, that deeply nourish your skin. Alluring essential oils allows the perfect indulgence for your body and mind. I got the Lavender, I wasn’t sure that I would like this, but it isn’t overpowering, it’s subtle and lightly scented, I have always liked Jergens but I do prefer Palmer’s Coconut Oil line. The Jergens mood-transforming also comes in Rose and Sweet Citrus. I would have liked to try the Sweet Citrus instead of the lavender. the lavender does smell good though.
I feel like I didn’t really get samples so much as travel-size products. Technically this box is free as I stated before, but I will value the products with Walmart’s site for reference.
